I had mad love for JLo's metallic nails on last night's episode of American Idol! Metallic polishes come in a range of different colors, but I like more neutral ones. A smattering of gold and silver over gunmetal polish...sounds complicated, right?! WRONG! Here's how:
Polish your nails with a metallic gunmetal polish like the one above (Creative Nail Design in Hyde in the Park) and allow to dry for 5 minutes. Sweep a nail foil adhesive over the polish...it changes from white to clear when dry. I used Kami Nail Foil Adhesive. (And, yes, I did mine today!) Place gold foil over your nail-shiny side down and tap 3 or 4 times with your fingertip to deposit the pigment. Then, peel off and repeat with silver foil. Viola! Gorgeous nails in no time!
